Share an app that keeps its data in a GoodTaco database as a template. Anyone with the link gets their own working copy, and the templates we review are listed in the gallery for everyone.
Describe the app you need, or upload a spreadsheet. Templates are shared from apps that keep their data in a GoodTaco database.
In the app’s settings, open the Template tab and give the template a short title and a description. Workspace admins and developers can share apps.
Publishing gives you a link that works right away. Anyone who opens it gets their own copy of the app.
If you want everyone on GoodTaco to find it, request a listing. We review the template before it appears in the gallery.
People get a working app, not a blank page. You decide whether it comes with sample records.

Off by default. Turn it on and up to 100 of the app’s records go into every copy, so leave it off for real customer data.
Your other records, later changes, connections and secret keys. An app whose code holds a secret key can’t be published.
Open a template link and sign up or log in, or find community templates in the gallery when you create an app. GoodTaco copies the app into your workspace with its own database, without using AI credits, so nothing you add is shared with the person who made it. Then change it by describing what you need.
We review every template before it’s listed in the gallery, and we review updates to a listed template before they go live. Templates shared only by link aren’t reviewed. Each template shows how many times it has been used. Stop sharing whenever you like; copies people already made keep working and don’t change.
Templates are a good way to show clients what you can build. Join the GoodTaco partner program, share your partner link next to your templates, and earn 30% of the subscription payments of the customers you refer, for their first 6 months.
Our template guides show the columns to set up in a Google Sheet for common workflows. GoodTaco then builds the app on your sheet. Read more about business app templates.

Community templates are apps that GoodTaco users share for others to copy. Anyone who opens a template link gets their own working copy of the app, with its own database.
Open the app’s settings, go to the Template tab, add a title and a description, and publish. You get a link to share right away, and you can ask for the template to be listed in the gallery.
