Your formulas keep working
Spreadsheet formulas become code in your app, so totals, discounts and statuses stay correct as records change. We don’t guess: before we use a formula, we recompute it from your data and compare every result with the value your spreadsheet calculated.
When a formula can’t be reproduced exactly, we keep its values instead and tell you which ones, so nothing in your app is quietly wrong.

You decide whether it stays
Your records go into your app’s own database. We delete the file you uploaded as soon as you keep the app, and if you don’t keep it, we delete the app, its data and your file after 24 hours.
Until you keep it, the app is at an unlisted link that we only send to you.

Can I turn an Excel spreadsheet into an app?
Yes. Upload an Excel workbook (.xlsx) or a CSV file on this page. GoodTaco imports each table as records, rebuilds the formulas it can reproduce exactly, and builds the first version of an app you can use and share.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. Upload your file and enter your email, and we send you the link to the app. Create a free account when you want to keep it, change it by chatting with the AI, or share it with your team.
What happens to my Excel formulas?
Formulas become code in your app, so totals and statuses stay correct as records change. Before we use a formula, we recompute it from your data and compare every result with the value your spreadsheet calculated. When a formula can’t be reproduced exactly, we keep its values instead and tell you which ones.
Which files can I upload?
Excel workbooks (.xlsx and .xlsm) and CSV or TSV files, up to 10 MB and 2,000 records. Older .xls files need to be saved as .xlsx first. Macros, charts and pivot tables aren’t imported.
What happens if I don’t keep the app?
We delete the app, its data and your file 24 hours after you upload, and we email you 2 hours before that happens. Until then, the app is at an unlisted link that we only send to you.
How much does it cost?
Trying it and keeping the app are free. The Free plan holds up to 100 records per database, and for the first 14 days after you keep the app it holds up to 2,500, so you can work with all your imported data. Paid plans hold more.
